From Brazzaville to Bangalore: young Congolese PhD scholar Dellove Ondongo builds BEGU Corporation, a multi-sector business ecosystem
The first Congolese PhD scholar at Jain University runs an Estonian technology group spanning commerce, technology and services.
Dellove Ondongo left the Republic of the Congo (Congo-Brazzaville) a decade ago to study in India. Today he is a PhD scholar in Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT) at Jain (Deemed-to-be University) in Bangalore, the first Congolese student to pursue a doctorate there and one of only a handful of Congolese PhD scholars in India, and the founder and CEO of BEGU Corporation, a technology group he registered in Estonia as an e-resident.
In India, Ondongo completed a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) in cybersecurity, was named Outstanding International Student in Bangalore 2022–2023 by the Federation of All International Students in Bangalore, and worked in IT recruitment and client relationship management. From 2023 to 2025 he was a Program Manager at the US company Engage2Excel on Government of Canada projects.
In July 2025 he founded BEGU Corporation OÜ in Tallinn. The BEGU ecosystem is organised in three pillars: Commerce (the BEGU Deals marketplace, now live, with BEGU Shop and BEGU Pay in development), Technology (BEGU Digital, BEGU Cyber and BEGU AI) and Services (BEGU Academy and BEGU Business Travel).
“I came to India as a student with one goal: to learn, and to bring that knowledge back to Africa and the world. BEGU Corporation is built on the power of being together: connecting businesses, technology and services across markets, from Brazzaville to Bangalore to Tallinn,” said Dellove Ondongo.
